Chief of Structures

Brian Cottrell is the Chief of Structures for Honeywell Aerospace, a $12B division of Honeywell International. In this capacity Mr. Cottrell guides many key technical decisions related to mechanical product structural design, design processes, and in-service problem solutions, for all of Honeywell aerospace mechanical products, ranging from gas turbine propulsion engines to various aircraft sub-systems and components. Mr. Cottrell’s career spans forty years in aerospace structures/gas turbine design as analyst, structures analysis consultant, Structures Dept Manager, and Chief Engineer.

Mr. Cottrell received a BSME from Colorado State University in 1973.

Brian and his wife Diane reside at the fringe of metro Phoenix AZ, in a Sonoran Desert environment where they enjoy abundant nature, family, antiques, and home decoration/improvement projects.
